London, 24 September 2021:

The Libyan Council for Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy (LCOGRE) will be holding its second workshop on the ‘‘Partnership between the private and public sector in energy services and industries.’’

The event will be held on Monday 25 October at the Corinthia hotel, Tripoli.

It is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil and Gas, the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Ministry of Industry and Minerals.

LCOGRE head Khaled Benothman told Libya Herald today the event ‘‘will concentrate on the consolidation of the foundations of cooperation between private sector companies and public institutions and companies in order to contribute to raising the capabilities of private and public sector companies and activating their role in developing the Libyan economy.’’

Benothman said the impetus for the workshops ‘‘came from the reality that private and public sector companies in Libya are going through absenteeism from participation in providing business and contributing to construction operations.’’

Adding that ‘‘Perhaps what the stage requires now is to intensify efforts and work to involve private and public sector companies and urge them to raise their administrative and technical levels, and to acquire high-quality skills in the areas of developing services, transfer technology and knowledge, assimilate graduates, and contribute to reducing unemployment and building the state’s economy.’’

Registration for the event is through the LCOGRE’s website:
