Sahel field development well O-23 with 5.5 million daily cubic feet of natural gas connected to Brega port

London, 1 September 2021:

Sirte Oil Company’s Sahel field development well O-23 with a daily production rate of 5.5 million cubic feet of natural gas was inaugurated yesterday.

Sirte Oil said the well was connected to the Sahel Field Gas Plant production system, to be pumped through a 30-inch line to the gas compressor station in Marsa El Brega.

It said the efforts of the departments of production, field maintenance, technical and transport have combined to complete the work despite the lack of capabilities, scarcity of budgets, the complex conditions the country is going through, and the restrictions imposed by the measures to prevent the Corona pandemic.

There are also efforts to connect wells northwest of the Irada field (Q4-4, Q4-3) with the production system of the Irada field, as well as drilling well (H-14) in the Irada field and drilling well (O-24). ) in the Sahel field to increase gas production rates in the Sirte Oil and Gas Company for the production and processing of oil and gas.
