Tripoli, 11 November 2021:

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Minerals for Production and Industrial Zones Affairs, Mustafa Al-Sammo, received a delegation of Lebanese business leaders headed by Hilal Saab, Advisor to the Lebanese Minister of Industry, and Anas Al-Sayegh, Member of the Lebanese Parliament.

The meeting dealt with ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of industry, investment, and support for the private sector in several sectors, including mining, cement industry, capacity building and consultancy.

The deputy minister stressed that the investment environment in Libya is very encouraging due to the presence of several competitive advantages and the presence of great demand for investment in several areas, one of which is industry.

The meeting was attended by the President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mohamed Raied, the General Manager of the Libyan Al-Namaa Insurance Company, Hamza Mustafa Al-Marimi, the representative of the Wadi Ads Company for Development and Investment, Samir Al-Kufi, and the representative of the Medical Care Company for the Management of Medical Expenses Danaf Fateh Al-Shahawi, the Lebanese legal advisor Aslan Al-Baini.
