Tripoli, 12 November 2021:
A new strategic cement and building materials factory complex agreement was signed by Ahmed Abuhisa, the Minister of Industry and Minerals on Tuesday at a hotel in Tripoli.
The signing ceremony was attended by foreign partners and supporters, namely the Danish FL Smidth Company, the German Grenzebach Company, and the Austrian AstroPlan Company.
The agreement signed was between the National Mining Corporation and the local company, Abraj Al-Ghad Company for the Cement and Building Materials Industry, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals.
Five factories
The celebration included a visual presentation of the project, which includes five factories, showing its geographical area, which is estimated at about 16,300 hectares, and provides about 4,000 direct jobs. The factories are located between Bani Walid, Mizdah, Nasma and Al-Arban.
The company will begin to construct the factories and train technical personnel as soon as the gas pipeline is implemented.
