Zliten municipality takes delivery of 30 new minibuses- a further example of PPP with local government

The Zliten Transport Company is to charge a flat LD1 fee for all trips within the city (Photo: Zliten Municipality).

Zliten Municipality took delivery of 30 new minibuses, its Municipality reported yesterday.

The procurement of the buses was a joint PPP project between the Municipality and several businessmen, it reported.

Most of the buses are intended for public transport within the city, with one bus specifically for those with special needs.

The Municipality revealed that bus stops and bus routes are still under discussion and a decision will be made whether they are operated by the public transport company or a private company.
