The partnership also includes the (Libyan) Primary Health Care Institute and the Libyan Ministry of Health to deliver Strengthening the Coordination and Availability of the Libyan Effective (SCALE) Mental Health Care project.

The UK also supported the distribution of medicines to Libya health centres to support doctors to treat their patients.
This comes as part of WHO in Libya’s efforts to strengthen mental health services in Libya by training general practitioners on mental health and psychosocial support. Over 150 GPs in 30 Primary Healthcare centres are now offering these services and transforming lives.
