The head of Libya’s Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, signed a cooperation agreement in Madrid, Spain with the Spanish Audit Bureau yesterday, represented by its president, Mrs. Enriqueta Chicano Javega, and in the presence of a number of directors and advisors from the two agencies. The signing ceremony was also attended by the ambassador of Libya to Spain and several officials in the Spanish Foreign Ministry.

The agreement includes the development of oversight work in several areas, the most important of which are training, consultations, exchange of experiences, and preparation of oversight work guides, in addition to digital transformation.

During the signing ceremony, the Libyan Audit Bureau presented a visual presentation on its plan to develop its performance and what has been implemented of this plan, which it reported was praised by Enriqueta Chicano Javega.

The Libyan Audit Bureau said this agreement comes as an extension of the consultations conducted by the two sides at the twenty-fourth conference of INCOSAI, which was held from 9-11 November 2022 in Brazil.
