The Minister of Transportation, Mohamed Al-Shahubi, confirmed that the project to build a passenger terminal at Benghazi’s Benina Airport, contracted with the Korean company Daewoo, is continuing.
Speaking through the Aldabaiba government information social media site “Hakomitna” Shahubi praised the efforts made by the Transportation Projects Implementation Authority in returning companies, adjusting prices and obtaining approvals from the Audit Bureau, referring to the work completed until February and the materials supplied for the project.
The Transportation Projects Implementation Authority confirmed the completion of the preparation and installation of the metal structure, the installation of iron columns, the start of finishing traces of installation in the metal structure, the repainting of the affected areas, and the start of the installation of water drainage sewers in the structure.
The first phase of the side concrete works for the walls have also been completed, as well as the installation of insulating and ordinary blocks in the first phase of the walls, with the start of concrete works for the second phase. The start of the block installation works in the second phase of the walls and the establishment of electrical ducts in the walls has also started, the Transportation Projects Implementation Authority confirmed.
