Tripoli Chamber of Commerce meets Business France to discuss cooperation

Anwar Abu Sitta, the Chairman of Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, met on Tuesday at the Chamber’s Tripoli headquarters Saleem Al -Greetli, the Head of Industry and Clean Technology at the Business France, part of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

Business France is a French Government agency created on 1 January 2015 through a merger between UBIFRANCE and the French Agency for International Investment (Invest in France).

Tripoli Chamber of Commerce reported that the meeting discuss the mechanism of strengthening trade relations between the private sector in the two countries. It also touched the difficulties and obstacles facing business owners and companies in the two countries related to the procedures for mobility and financial transactions and ways to overcome them in coordination with the competent authorities.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of organizing economic activities and bilateral meetings to enhance private sector cooperation in the two countries in areas of common concern, including investors and specialized companies in order to exchange experiences, in addition to information about the local market and promising investment opportunities in both countries.
