An Egyptian visiting eye specialist and his team conducted 67 eye tests and 20 urgent cornea eye operations in Beida Medical Centre, eastern Libya.
The specialist was quoted by Libya state TV saying that they are using the most advanced and latest techniques in cornea operations to treat patients at Beida Medical Centre.
This comes within the framework of the Libyan government and its Health Ministry to localise healthcare within Libya by bringing leading foreign specialists to patients in Libya rather than the historic, costly trend of Libyans travelling abroad for healthcare.
