‎As part of its ongoing efforts to boost production capacity, Akakus Oil Operations announced last Saturday (5 July) that it had successfully completed drilling work on the new B-26H well. The initial tests of the well led to a total production rate of 1,750 barrels per day.‎

Akakus said the well comes as part of the development drilling plan for the Sharara field‎, confirming the company's commitment to improving the efficiency of operations and making the best use of available resources, with the support of national expertise and specialised technical teams.‎

‎This success adds to the series of successes achieved in 2025, Akakus said.‎
