Afriqiyah Airways announced last Tuesday (9 June) that it has received three new engines for its Airbus A320 aircraft. These engines have arrived at the company's warehouses, paving the way for scheduled maintenance work on the aircraft currently grounded at Mitiga International Airport. This will officially integrate them into the approved maintenance programmes and schedules.

The carrier said this step is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance fleet readiness and operational efficiency, contributing to operational continuity and improved passenger service.

The company's management affirmed that Afriqiyah Airways, thanks to the dedication of its loyal employees and national workforce, is committed to overcoming challenges and difficulties, working steadily towards development, prosperity, and regaining its leading position in the air transport sector.

It said that it will continue to work diligently and sincerely to restore Afriqiyah Airways to its former glory: a leading national company with a distinguished fleet, skilled workforce, and exceptional services, bearing a history of struggle, resilience, and unwavering determination to survive and succeed despite all circumstances and challenges.
