Tripoli, 21 September 2014:
An outline deal to secure Western Mountain region of Libya has been agreed by five western towns.
Delegates from Huwamid, Nalut, Rijban, Rahibat and Zintan met yesterday to work out how to protect the area, as well as bring an end to the months-long fuel crisis and obtain medicines and other basic supplies. The meeting in Zintan, called by the National Unity Forum, agreed to form a crisis committee made up of mayors from the region.
All the towns present have backed the House of Representatives. Their meeting came four days after similar gathering of pro-Libya Dawn representatives from Suq Al-Juma, Nalut, Zuwara, Ghariyan, Zliten, Sabratha and Sebha which was held in Ghariyan.
