London, 24 May 2021:

Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority announced yesterday that as of today Libyans arriving at Tunisian airports will no longer need to quarantine in pre-selected hotels for 10 days.

The policy had deterred many Libyans from travelling to Tunisia by air and was considered an inconvenience and at times a rip-off by some hotels and staff of the marooned Libyan guests.

The Civil Aviation Authority pointed out, however, that Libyan flights will consequently arrive at a separate part of airports and Libyans would still need to have a negative PCR test to enter Tunisia. They would also be expected to wear masks and socially distance.
