Libya’s Airports Authority reported that it had held a virtual meeting with American company Culmen International on Tuesday to discuss signing a cooperation agreement.
The agreement will be in the framework of Culmen’s support in the field of aviation security and providing Libya’s airports with detection devices for explosive traces.
The Airports Authority said the agreement comes within the U.S. programmes of support for stability in Libya.
U.S Government grant to Culmen
It will be recalled that the US Department of State, Bureau of Counterterrorism and Countering Violent Extremism, had awarded a grant and contract to the US company, Culmen International, to provide security at, initially, three Libyan airports, Culmen had announced on 7 March 2019.
