The British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) announced today that it has updated its travel guidance for Libya, lowering the alert level in the cities of Tripoli, Misrata and Benghazi from red (maximum) to yellow (less severe).
The ministry explained that these guidelines are aimed at British citizens, and include information about security risks, travel and insurance requirements when visiting various areas of Libya.
The FCDO nevertheless advises against all travel to Libya except for the cities of Tripoli, Benghazi and Misrata.
It advises against all but essential travel to the cities of Tripoli, Benghazi and Misrata.
