London, 21 March 2021:

Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announce on Friday the first development well (E04) in the Erawin field operated by Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas was put on production test after the drilling and completion operations were completed.

The process was completed without burning any amount of oil by applying Zero gas flaring technology, where the crude oil produced from the Erawin field was transported to the nearest surface facilities in the Sharara field, about 100 km from Erawin field.

The NOC reported that the initial results of the well were encouraging, with the daily oil production of the well reaching more than 1,800 barrels / day, and testing will continue at different choke size until the required data are obtained and the well and the reservoir are properly evaluated.
