Second shipment of Russian Sputnik V vaccines arrive in Libya: Third shipment in four days

A second shipment of 100,000 Russian Sputnik V anti-Coronavirus vaccines arrived in Tripoli yesterday. This is the third shipment of vaccines in five days.
On Thursday, a shipment of 57,600 doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca arrived through the joint international purchasing and distribution facility, COVAX.

The first ever shipment of vaccines to arrive in Libya was 101,252 doses of the Sputnik V on Sunday 4 April.
The Ministry of Health said further shipments will follow. It expects 12 million doses to arrive over time.
Libya’s population is 6.9 million excluding foreigners and illegal migrants, but the government has vowed to vaccinate all present in Libya irrespective of their legal status.
