London, 4 May 2021:  

Tunisian ambassador to Libya, Asaad Al-Ajili reaffirmed his country’s desire to establish passenger and shipping lines with the city of Misrata.

The new was revealed yesterday during his visit to the new Misrata Maritime Terminal  where he was accompanied by the Tunisian Consul General Tawfiq Al-Qasimi and their accompanying delegation.

The ambassador discussed with the station management work to develop Libyan-Tunisian trade and investment relations through joint projects, including the work to operate cruises to transport passengers and goods between the Misurata Marine Terminal and the ports of Tunis during the coming period.

He also discussed the work to complete all the necessary procedures and approvals for the shipping lines to commence.

Industrialist, member of parliament and head of the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mohamed Raeid also took part in the visit.

The Tunisian delegation also met the Misrata Chamber of Commerce.
